Being fit and able to perform ordinary day-to-day activities is essential to us all, within the martial arts training there is a blend of aerobic, anaerobic and muscular strength training. Everyone who takes part in regular classes will improve their total body fitness. The level at which you train is structured to your personal development and ability within the classes, conditioning work, fat burning and overall fitness training are all included.
Fitness does not just include the body it includes your mind. Improving your level of fitness and changing your body shape will benefit you mentally improving your self-esteem, personal awareness and confidence.
Every Tuesday evening Mr. and Mrs. Lambert teach step aerobics at Armthorpe Community Centre, they are both qualified to teach exercise to music to RSA, YMCA standards, Their passion for this class is obvious once you have seen the two of them teach, so come and join us, lighten up and enjoy working out with us. This form of exercise bridges the gap between their martial arts training and fitness training. Try it, you will be amazed at the difference it will make to your quest for total body fitness and it's great fun too.
'Looking Good'
I have to include this possibly superficial, but significant, benefit of exercise: it helps you lose weight, tone your body, and maintain a healthy glow and a smile. You may feel a subtle but significant boost as your clothes look more flattering on, and you project an aura of increased confidence and strength. This impacts on so many people, and can relieve stress for those who are concerned with their appearance and worry that they don’t look as healthy as they could.
